Grove City falls on road
ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at Adrian Friday afternoon in non-conference action.
Adrian (2-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Grove City slashed the lead in half at 61:50 when senior forward Sam Weber (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) scored her second goal of the season at 61:50. Weber scored from 25 yards out after an Adrian turnover. Freshman Jordyn White (Mars, Pa./Mars) assisted Weber's goal.
Adrian took a 1-0 lead 28:55 when Sam Barker scored an unassisted goal. The Bulldogs pushed the lead to 2-0 2:23 into the second half on a goal from Carlin O'Malley.
In goal, senior Tiffany Yost (Christiana, Pa./Living Word) stopped three shots for Grove City (1-2). Adrian outshot the Wolverines 16-13. Adrian also held an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
Grove City will visit Allegheny Wednesday in a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m.
