Grove City earns draw
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team earned a 0-0 draw Tuesday night at archrival Westminster (10-0-2) in Presidents' Athletic Conference play at Memorial Field.
Grove City (7-5-2, 2-1-1 PAC) owned a 23-14 edge in shots, including a 6-0 advantage in the two overtime periods. The Wolverines also had six corner kicks while Westminster (3-0-1 PAC) had just one.
Senior goalkeeper Nicole Lapia (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) recorded Grove City's seventh shutout of the season by making six saves.
Grove City has blanked Westminster in each of the teams' last four meetings.
Grove City hosts conference foe Saint Vincent at 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
