Grove City Blanks Bethany in PAC Semis, 1-0

October 30, 1998--
The Grove City College women's soccer team kept its four-peat dreams alive Friday, winning a 1-0 decision over Bethany College in the semi-final round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament in Bethany, WV.

Freshman Kathy Keehlwetter (Mercer, PA/Mercer) broke a scoreless tie with her third goal of the season off a pass from senior Allison Franklin (Jamestown, NY/Southwestern) in the 72nd minute to account for the winning margin.  Freshman goalkeeper Erica Long (Cranberry Twp., PA/Slippery Rock) was perfect in net, turning back 10 Bison shots.

The Lady Wolverines (5-13-1), who came in as the tournament's third seed, will seek their fourth straight PAC title tomorrow against top-seeded Waynesburg College, who advanced by beating Washington & Jefferson College, 1-0 on Friday.  The Championship Game will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Bethany.
