Lady Wolverines Fall in PAC Title Game, 1-0


October 31, 1998--The Grove City College women's soccer team fell to Waynesburg College in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Game, 1-0, on Saturday at Bethany College in Bethany, WV.

Waynesburg broke a scoreless tie off a corner kick with 3:27 left in regulation.   The title marked the first for the Lady Yellow Jackets, who placed fifth in the league last season.

The Lady Wolverines, who entered the tournament as the three-time defending champion, outshot Waynesburg, 28-9.  Grove City closed its season at 5-14-1 overall.
