Snow Storms GCC Past W&J GROVE CITY, PA, September 25, 1999--Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) scored a pair of goals to lead the Grove City College women's soccer team past host Washington & Jefferson, 2-1, on Saturday. Snow was assisted on both goals by Nanmarie Woodford (Fairfax, VA/Bethlehem Baptist). Snow raised her season goal total to three and Woodford picked up her second and third assists on the year. Grove City, who out-shot W&J 21-10, led at halftime, 1-0. Erica Long (Cranberry Twp., PA/Slippery Rock) recorded four first-half saves, and Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) stopped five shots in the second half. The Lady Wolverines improved to 3-5 overall, 2-0 in the PAC. W&J fell to 2-8, 1-2. |
