GCC and B-W Tie 2-2



GROVE CITY, PA, September 27, 1999--The Grove City College women's soccer team answered a 1-0 halftime deficit with two goals, but visiting Baldwin-Wallace buried a penalty kick with under 10 minutes left in regulation to escape with a 2-2 tie after a scoreless overtime.

Christine Litwa (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) opened the scoring for GCC in the second half with her first collegiate goal off a pass from Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek), who today was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week.

Nanmarie Woodford (Fairfax, VA/Bethlehem Baptist) put the Lady Wolverines up 2-1 with an unassisted goal, her second of the year.

Erica Long (Cranberry Twp., PA/Slippery Rock) made six saves in the first half.  Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) turned back 12 shots through the second half and 30-minute overtime.

The Lady Wolverines moved to 3-5-1 overall, while B-W left with a record of 3-6-1.
