GCC Blanks Bethany, 4-0 GROVE CITY, PA, October 6, 1999--Jen Bailey (Simsbury, CT/The Master's School) netted her first collegiate hat trick as the Grove City College women's soccer team defeated visiting Bethany College, 4-0, extending its unbeaten streak to six games (5-0-1). The Lady Wolverines improved to 4-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and 6-5-1 overall, while Bethany fell to 2-1 in the PAC, 5-7 overall. Bailey doubled her season goal total to six, while Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) chipped in with her sixth goal of the season and an assist. Sarah St. Clair (Erie, PA/McDowell) assisted on two goals. Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) recorded the shutout in goal with nine saves in the full 90 minutes. |
