Lady Wolverines Win Fourth Straight GREENVILLE, PA, October 9, 1999--The Grove City College women's soccer team extended its winning streak to four games Saturday with a 2-0 decision over host Thiel College. The victory ran the Lady Wolverines' unbeaten string to seven games and marked the squad's third consecutive shutout Autum Early (Sarver, PA/Freeport) opened the scoring with her fifth goal of the season, and Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) chipped in with her team-leading seventh goal on the year. Merry Van Heukelem (Denver, CO/Denver Christian) assisted on both tallies. Katy Turman (Meadowbrook, PA/Abington) and Erica Long (Cranberry Twp., PA/Slippery Rock) shared the shutout in goal. The Lady Wolverines moved to 5-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and 7-5-1 overall. Thiel fell to 0-4 in the PAC, 0-13 overall. |
