Lady Wolverines Fall, 1-0
GROVE CITY, PA, October 12, 1999--The Grove City College women's soccer team had its
seven-game unbeaten streak snapped Tuesday, as visiting Washington & Jefferson College
prevailed 1-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference match-up. The Lady Wolverines out-shot the Presidents 19-15, but were unable to secure
their fifth straight victory. The loss marked their first league setback as well
after opening 5-0 in the PAC. GCC moved to 7-6-1 overall.
Washington & Jefferson, now 5-9 overall and 3-2 in the PAC, got
the game-winner from Nicole Bosley, this week's PAC player of the week. |
