Lady Wolverines third at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Junior Peggy Whitbeck (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) broke the NCAA "B" qualifying standard in the 100 butterfly Friday night, helping the Grove City College women's swim team to a third-place finish at the Allegheny Sprint Invitational. GCC earned 240 points.

Whitbeck completed the 100 butterfly in 59.40 seconds, earning first place. Whitbeck also took second in the 200 individual medley, posting a time of 2:15.98.

The Lady Wolverines will compete in the Allegheny Distance Invitational Saturday.
