Lady Wolverines win 4th straight, own first in PAC

BETHANY, W. Va. -- Freshman Ellen Magee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Homeschooled) won both the 200 individual medley (2:20.91) and 100 freestyle (56.16) to help the Grove City College women's swim team (4-1, 1-0 PAC) open up the Presidents' Athletic Conference season with a 108-66 victory at Bethany Thursday night.

Freshman BrieAnn Artz (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) won the 200 freestyle in 2:10.33 while Cecilia Larsen (Federal Way, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) won the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:06.72. Also for Grove City, Julie Pullin (Munroe Falls, Ohio/Hawken Upper) won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.14.

Pullin also contributed a leg to Grove City's victorious 200 medley relay quartet. Annie Lindsay (Ligonier Valley/ Ligonier, Pa.), Jacquie Adlam (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) and Carolyn Shaddak (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) joined Pullin on the relay, which posted a time of 2:06.53.

Lauren Schade (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) earned runner-up finishes in the 50 free and 100 back while Emily Shaheen (Annville, Pa./Homeschooled) finished second in the 200 free. Emily Bolek (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) took runner-up honors in the 200 medley.
