Lady Wolverines fall to 6-3
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Senior All-American Peggy Whitbeck (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) and freshman diver Emily Hays (Seaville, N.J./Ocean City) each picked up a pair of wins Saturday but the Grove City College women's swimming and diving team finished the dual-meet season with a 6-3 record after suffering a 143-96 setback against visiting Wooster at the Grove City College Pool.
Whitbeck won both the 100 butterfly (58.65 seconds) and 200 individual medley (2:12.23). Whitbeck's 200 IM time is just .11 seconds off her pool record.
Hays won both the 1-meter diving and 3-meter competition. Grove City returns to action Feb. 12-14 when the College hosts the Presidents' Athletic Conference championships and Grove City College Invitational.
