Wolverines top Bethany in PAC meet
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 107-71 win over visiting Bethany Wednesday night at the Grove City College Pool. It is the Wolverines' second straight dual-meet win.
Senior Ellen Magee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Homeschooled) earned a pair of wins for the Wolverines. Magee won the 50 free in 26.19 seconds, then won the 100 free in 57.83. Freshman Whitney Fairchild (Corry, Pa./Corry) won the 200 free in 2:07.07 while classmate Kiersten Bower (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) took the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:41.93.
Also for Grove City, freshman Alyse Brannon (Purcellville, Va./Homeschooled) won the 100 butterfly in 1:08.30.
Grove City will visit Hiram in a non-conference dual meet Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
