Grove City tops Behrend
ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team improved to 3-5 Friday night with an 82-61 win over host Penn State Behrend at the Junker Center.
Freshman Whitney Fairchild (Corry, Pa./Corry) and senior Amanda Brozenic (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) both earned two wins for Grove City. Fairchild won the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, 6.77 seconds, then captured the 200 free in 2:07.56.
Brozenic won the 50 free in 26.81, then finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.73). Sophomore Ellen Keefer (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) won the 100 butterfly in 1:08.27.
Grove City will host the Grove City Invitational/Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships Feb. 9-11.
