CMU downs Grove City
PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team fell to 1-1 Saturday afternoon with a 178-94 loss at Carnegie Mellon in non-conference action.
Freshman Jane Wilson (Newberg, Ore./Veritas School) led Grove City by winning the 100 free in 55.67 seconds. She also took second in the 50 free (25.39).
Junior Ellen Keefer (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) took third in both the 50 (56.61) and 200 free (2:04.68). Sophomore Liza McRuer (Irvine, Calif./University) placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.83) while sophomore Kiersten Bower (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) took third in the 200 backstroke (2:27.46).
Grove City will host Frostburg State and Saint Vincent in a double-dual Friday night at 6 p.m.
