Grove City falls at Wooster
WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team is 5-9 after dropping a 212-76 decision to host Wooster Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Timken Natatorium.
Junior Ellen Keefer (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) and freshman Jane Wilson (Newberg, Ore./Veritas School) each posted individual wins for Grove City. Keefer captured the 200 free in 2 minutes, 3.30 seconds while Wilson won the 50 in 24.94 seconds.
Wilson also took second in the 100 free (55.79) while Keefer took second in the 500 with a time of 5:39.67. Wilson, Keefer, senior Virginia Larsen (Federal Way, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) and sophomore Alyse Brannon (Purcellville, Va./Homeschooled) opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:58.96).
Grove City will host Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Behrend Friday night at 6 p.m.
