Grove City competes in Quad Meet

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team went 1-2 Saturday afternoon in the Grove City College Quad Meet. The Wolverines earned a 161-128 win over Case Western Reserve. National power Kenyon downed Grove City, 195-85, while Washington & Jefferson picked up a 173-118 victory over Grove City.

Freshman diver Stephanie McNeill (Louisville, Ky./Brazoswood, Texas) won 1-meter diving with 191.00 points. She also took second on the 3-meter board with 148.85 points.

Freshman Sarah Page (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) placed second in the 100 with a time of 55.24 seconds. Freshman Sarah Bargery (Springfield, Va./Homeschooled) took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.02) and third in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.85).

Bargery, Page, freshman Lauren Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) and sophomore Amanda Thompson (Erie, Pa./McDowell) opened Saturday's competition with a third-place effort in the 200 medley relay (1:55.94).

Grove City (3-3 overall) will visit Allegheny Tuesday night in a non-conference dual meet at 6 p.m.
