Wolverines now 3-4

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving dropped a 152-130 decision to host Allegheny Tuesday night in a non-conference dual meet at Mellon Pool. Grove City is now 3-4 overall this year.

Three Grove City swimmers earned individual wins Tuesday night. Freshman Sarah Page (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) won the 100 free in 56.95 seconds while classmate Sarah Bargery (Springfield, Va./Homeschooled) won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:21.07. Junior Rebecca Smiddy (Miami, Fla./Homeschooled) won the 500 with a time of 5:39.89.

Page, senior Ellen Keefer (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville), sophomore Amanda Thompson (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and freshman Lauren Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) closed the meet by winning the 800 free relay in 8:30.21.

Grove City will host the James E. Longnecker Invitational November 30-December 1 at the Grove City College Pool.
