Bilko earns All-America in 400 individual medley

INDIANAPOLIS -- Grove City College sophomore swimmer Megan Bilko (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) earned All-America honors in the 400 individual medley Thursday night at the NCAA Division III Championships, hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corporation.

Bilko captured 14th place in the 400 IM with a time of 4 minutes, 29.39 seconds. She placed 16th in Thursday's preliminaries before taking sixth place in Thursday night's consolation race.

Bilko is now a three-time All-American for her career. She earned All-America in the 500 free Wednesday night. Last year, she captured All-America as part of Grove City's 800 free relay team.

Bilko also contributed to Grove City's 26th-place finish in the 200 free relay Thursday. Junior Lauren Cassano (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), junior Tori Baker (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) and freshman Abby Jank (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) joined Bilko in posting a time of 1:39.25.

Friday, Cassano will compete in the 100 backstroke. Grove City will also participate in the 800 free relay.
