Bilko takes ninth in 1650; Wolverines finish 27th

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team concluded competition at the 2014 NCAA Division III Championships Saturday night by producing another All-America performance.

Sophomore Megan Bilko (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) highlighted the final day of action by earning All-America honors in the 1650 free. Bilko placed ninth overall with a school-record time of 17 minutes, 1.13 seconds.

It is her fourth All-America honor of the Championships. She earlier earned All-America honors in the 400 individual medley, 500 free and 800 free relay. Bilko is now a five-time NCAA All-American.

Bilko, junior Lauren Cassano (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), junior Tori Baker (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) and freshman Abby Jank (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) took 23rd in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:32.77.

Cassano competed in the 200 backstroke and finished 34th with a time of 2:07.87.

Grove City earned 23 team points during the four-day meet and finished 27th in the team standings.
