Grove City competes at NCAA Championships

SHENANDOAH, Texas -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team participated in the second day of action at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships Thursday morning at the Conroe Natatorium.

The Grove City quartet of senior Lauren Cassano (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), sophomore Megan Smith (Tyler, Texas/Kolbe Academy), sophomore Abby Jank (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and senior Tori Baker (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) earned 25th place in the 200 free relay with a time of 1 minute, 38.69 seconds. The foursome entered the Championships as the No. 26 seed with a time of 1:37.04.

Smith also competed in the 400 individual medley and took 24th place with a time of 4:35.00. She entered the Championships as the 25th seed in that event with a season-best time of 4:32.43.

Grove City's four swimmers will compete in the 800 free relay Friday afternoon. The Wolverines are the No. 15 seed in that event with a time of 7:38.39.
