Wolverines conclude action at NCAAs

SHENANDOAH, Texas -- The Grove City College women's swimming and diving team closed the 2014-15 season Saturday by competing in the final day of action at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships in Conroe Natatorium.

 Senior Lauren Cassano (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township), sophomore Megan Smith (Tyler, Texas/Kolbe Academy), sophomore Abby Jank (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and senior Tori Baker (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) combined for 23rd place in the 400 free relay by posting a time of 3 minutes, 31.87 seconds. Grove City entered the event as the No. 23 seed with a season-best time of 3:31.62.

Smith also competed in the 1650 free and took 22nd place individually with a time of 17:29.41. She entered the event as the No. 25 seed with a best time of 17:27.21.

Baker and Cassano conclude their respective careers as four-time NCAA Division III All-Americans. Jank owns two All-America honors while Smith is a one-time All-American. Grove City's 14th-place finish in the 800 free relay Friday earned six team points.
