Eckendorf competes at NCAA Regional Championships
CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Senior Carolyn Eckendorf (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) wrapped up her collegiate diving career by competing in the NCAA Division III Region IV Diving Championships at the State University of New York at Cortland on Friday and Saturday afternoon.
A three-time regional qualifier, Eckendorf finished 16th out of 26 divers in the women's 1-meter competition on Friday afternoon with a score of 359.25 points. On Saturday, she finished 24th on the 3-meter board by earning 349.00 points for 11 dives. Eckendorf's scores on each board were her best in three appearances at the regional championships.
Eckendorf finishes her career as Grove City's career record holder for 11 dives on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards while also owning the six-dive record on the 3-meter board.
