Grove City women down Mount Union

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Junior Peggy Whitbeck (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) and freshman Ellen Magee (Cincinnati, Ohio/Homeschooled) each won a pair of events as the Grove City College women's swim team (3-1) defeated visiting Mount Union, 102-86, at the Grove City College Pool Thursday evening.

Whitbeck won the 100 butterfly in 58.60 and claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:15.35. Magee, meanwhile, won both the 50 free (26.90) and 100 free (57.06). 

Also for Grove City, Christine Bare (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) won the 1000 free in 11:15.13 while Cecilia Larsen (Federal Way, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) won the 200 free in 2:09.77. Annie Lindsay (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) chalked up a victory in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 1:07.95.
