Grove City 129, Mount Union 99


December 12, 1998--The Lady Wolverines improved to 4-2 overall on Saturday with a 129-99 win over visiting Mount Union.

Freshman Sarah Erdos (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) and senior Jennifer Clepper (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) keyed the victory with a pair of first-place swims each.   Erdos touched first in the 50-yard freestyle (:24.78) and 100 free (:54:02), while Clepper won the 200 free (2:06.35) and 200 butterfly (2:29.14).

Senior Kim Dewey (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) helped the cause with a first-place effort in the 500 free (5:51.66).  Freshman Courtney Heckman (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem) chipped in with a win in the 200 backstroke (2:29.68).

Grove City is idle until January 5 when it competes in an invitational at the University of Northern Florida.
