DIVING COACH TAMMY FRITZ

Tammy Fritz is in her fifth season as the diving coach at Grove City College. Grove City's diving corps has ascended to its place among the region's elite under Fritz's guidance.

In 2007, Fritz helped junior Joe Riddell provisionally qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships. Riddell and freshman Kyle Grubbs placed 1-2 in both diving events at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships.

Two years earlier, she helped guide five Grove City divers to top-five finishes at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships, including two-time women's 3-meter champion Emily Hays.

Prior to joining the Grove City staff, Fritz worked as the diving coach at Chartiers Valley High School in Bridgeville, Pa. for two seasons. Fritz also has 14 years of experience coaching gymnastics at various age levels. She has guided numerous athletes to state championships.

Fritz is in her fifth year as an English teacher at Grove City High School. She also taught English for eight years at Chartiers Valley. Fritz graduated from Washington and Jefferson in 1992. In July 2002, she completed her master's degree in education from Duquesne University.

She lives in nearby Slippery Rock with her husband, Dave, daughters Emily and Mary and son Hayden.
