Grove City falls to
GROVE CITY, PA, September 9, 2000--The Lady Wolverine tennis team posted wins at fourth singles and first doubles, but visiting Division II foe Shippensburg won the rest in a 7-2 decision Saturday.
Freshman Allison Atwood moved to 2-0 on the year with a straight-set victory at fourth singles, while the talented twosome of junior Alyssa Bradford and senior Wendy Carlson won first doubles. Sophomore Lisa Oriti, playing at second singles, suffered her first career singles loss after winning 14 straight.
Grove City, now 1-1 overall, opened with first-set victories in four of the six singles matches.
