Grove City earns sixth straight win
UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH, October 3, 2000--The Grove City College women's tennis team (7-1)
won the battle of champions Tuesday, easing past host John Carroll University, 8-1, near
Cleveland, OH.
The 13-time defending Presidents' Athletic Conference champion Lady Wolverines beat last year's Ohio Athletic Conference champion in straight sets in first through fifth singles -- winning six sets by a 6-0 count -- and surrendered just four games in doubles.
