CMU edges GCC, 5-4
PITTSBURGH, PA, September 7 , 2001--The Lady Wolverine tennis team swept first through
third singles against perennial power Carnegie Mellon University, but managed just one
other win in a 5-4 loss Friday in Pittsburgh.
Senior Alyssa Bradford won in three sets at first singles and teamed with sophomore Allison Atwood to post an 8-0 shutout at first doubles. Junior Lisa Oriti outlasted her opponent to win in three sets at second singles, while Atwood made it look easy at third singles, surrendering just two games in a straight-set victory.
Grove City dropped to 1-1 on the season.
