Grove City blanks Presidents in season finale
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team closed the dual-match portion of the 2004 season with a 9-0 victory at Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Washington and Jefferson. The victory raises Grove City's overall record to 11-1 and 5-0 in the PAC. The 11 wins are the most for Grove City in one season since the Wolverines went 12-1 in 1999.
It is also Grove City's 77th straight win over a PAC foe. Grove City will look to capture its 18th consecutive PAC title this weekend at the PAC Championships at Erie's Pennbriar Athletic Club.
