Grove City sets new single-season win record
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team concluded the 2005 regular season with a 9-0 victory over Washington and Jefferson Friday afternoon at the Grove City College Courts. The Wolverines finish the regular season with a 13-3 record. The 13 wins are the most in any one season for the Grove City program. The 1999 team won 12 matches.
It is also Grove City's 88th straight win over a Presidents' Athletic Conference opponent. The Wolverines lost just seven games in the nine total matches.
Grove City will look to earn its 19th straight PAC title next Friday and Saturday at the PAC Championships in Erie at the Pennbriar Club.
