Grove City falls to Rock

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team is 8-1 overall after dropping a 7-2 decision to NCAA Division II powerhouse Slippery Rock Tuesday afternoon at the Grove City College Courts. The Rock (5-0) won five of the six singles matches.

Grove City had won nine straight matches, dating back to the end of the 2007 season. The Wolverines return to action Wednesday afternoon against Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Westminster at 4 p.m. in New Wilmington.
