Grove City falls to 5-1

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team fell to 5-1 overall on the 2009 season with a 7-2 setback against visiting Allegheny Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at the Grove City College Courts.

Allegheny won two of three doubles matches, then claimed five of six singles matches. Grove City has won four of the last six meetings in the series.

Several Grove City players will compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional Championships this weekend at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va.
