Grove City tops Westminster
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday afternoon with a 7-1 home victory over Westminster (10-1, 4-1) at the Grove City College Courts.
Grove City won all three doubles matches, then took four of the five finished singles matches. Darkness forced the the first singles match between junior Natalie Walten (Stewartstown, Pa./Kennard-Dale) and Westminster's April Scudere to be halted. Scudere won the first set 6-4. That match will be completed at a later date.
Grove City will visit Oberlin Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in non-conference action.
