Grove City tops Westminster
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tuesday afternoon with an 8-1 home victory over Westminster (10-1, 4-1) at the Grove City College Courts.
Grove City won all three doubles matches, then took four of the five finished singles matches. Darkness forced the the first singles match between junior Natalie Walten (Stewartstown, Pa./Kennard-Dale) and Westminster's April Scudere to be halted. Scudere won the first set 6-4.
However, Walten rebounded October 20 to take the match with a 6-1 win in the second set and a 7-5 triumph in the third set.
