Grove City 9, Thiel 0


September 23, 1998--The Grove City College women's tennis team extended its winning streak to nine Wednesday with a 9-0 victory over Thiel College in Greenville, PA.

Singles winners were sophomore Wendy Carlson (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) at #1 (6-0, 6-0), junior Victoria Hull (Somis, CA/La Reina) at #2 (6-0, 6-0), junior Krissy Bedillion (Hickory, PA/Fort Cherry) at #3 (6-0, 6-1), junior Kelly Bailey at #4 (6-0, 6-0), sophomore Lisa Evans (Butler, PA/Butler) at #5 (6-2, 6-1) and junior Kara Jo Hoisington (Dimondale, MI/Waverly) at #6 (6-2, 7-6 (7-4)).

Carlson and Bedillion won at first doubles (8-0).  Hull and Evans prevailed at #2 (8-0), while Bailey and Hoisington took #3 (8-0).

The Lady Wolverines (9-1) compete at the ITA Regionals in Trenton, NJ this weekend.
