Grove City 9, Penn State-Behrend 0


September 29, 1998--The Grove City College women's tennis team won its 10th straight match Tuesday, blanking host Penn State-Behrend, 9-0, in Erie, PA

The six Lady Wolverine singles winners were sophomore Wendy Carlson (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) at #1 (6-0, 6-0), junior Victoria Hull (Somis, CA/La Reina) at #2 (6-1, 6-1), junior Krissy Bedillion (Hickory, PA/Fort Cherry) at #3 (6-2, 6-1), junior Kelly Bailey at #4 (6-2, 6-1), sophomore Lisa Evans (Butler, PA/Butler) at #5 (6-3, 4-6, 6-0) and freshman Kristy Ivancza (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) at #6 (5-7, 6-3, 6-3).

Hull and freshman Alyssa Bradford (Akron, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) won at first doubles (8-1).  Carlson and Bedillion took second doubles (8-1), while Bailey and junior Kara Jo Hoisington (Dimondale, MI/Waverly) held on at #3 (8-6).

The Lady Wolverines, now 10-1 overall, take on Division I-AA Youngstown State Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in Youngstown. OH.
