West Liberty tops Grove City in season opener
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team opened the 2011-12 season Thursday afternoon with a 6-3 setback against NCAA Division II member West Liberty (1-0) at the Grove City College Courts.
The Hilltoppers won two of three doubles matches before taking four of six singles matches. Grove City (0-1) had won each of the previous four meetings with West Liberty.
Grove City will open Presidents' Athletic Conference play September 9 against visiting Geneva at 4 p.m.
