Wolverines roll to sweep of W&J
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team didn't drop a set en route to a 9-0 Presidents' Athletic Conference road victory at Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday afternoon.
Grove City (7-3, 6-1) swept the doubles competition before taking all six singles matches in straight sets.
Sophomore Linnea Peters (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) led the Wolverines on the day, teaming with senior Kendra Tetrick (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) for an 8-1 victory at second doubles before dropping just one game in a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles.
The Wolverines conclude their regular season on Monday when they travel to conference foe Waynesburg for a 3:30 p.m. match.
