Grove City swept by Carnegie Mellon
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to NCAA Division III national power Carnegie Mellon on Friday evening at the Walters-Zbell Tennis Courts.
Freshman Maggie Manchester (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) battled with the Tartans' Kalyani Narayan at first singles, winning four games in the first set of that match while the Wolverine second doubles tandem of sophomore Janine Jones (Northfield, Ohio/Nordonia) and senior Leah Thomsen (Cary, N.C./Cary Christian) also won a pair of games.
Grove City (2-5) returns to action Tuesday, hosting Franciscan in a 3:30 p.m. non-conference match.
