Grove City Nets Shutout Over Bethany
GROVE CITY, PA, September 14, 1999--The Grove City College women's tennis team recorded
its sixth straight shutout Tuesday, defeating visiting Bethany College in a Presidents'
Athletic Conference affair.The Lady Wolverines won all six
singles matches in straight sets, led by Alyssa Bradford's 6-1, 6-1 win over Sonya Gomes,
who was named this week's PAC player of the week. Wendy Carlson (Hanover,
PA/Southwestern) didn't surrender a single game at second singles.
Grove City moved to 6-0 overall, while Bethany fell to 4-1.
