GCC Slips At West Liberty


WEST LIBERTY, WV, September 21, 1999--The Lady Wolverine tennis team suffered its first setback Tuesday, losing at NCAA Division II West Liberty State, 6-3.

Grove City won at first and fourth singles as Alyssa Bradford (Akron, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) and Lisa Oriti (Brecksville, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) extended their perfect singles records to 5-0 and 9-0, respectively.  Bradford is this week's Presidents' Athletic Conference player of the week after going 2-0 at first singles last week.

The Lady Wolverines, 8-1 overall,  also claimed second doubles with Wendy Carlson (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) and Erika Hauge (Chardon, OH/Chardon) improving their doubles mark to 9-0 on the year.
