Lady Wolverines Top Thiel, 9-0
GROVE CITY, PA, September 21, 1999--The Lady Wolverine tennis team rebounded from its
first loss of the season with a 9-0 shutout over visiting Thiel on Wednesday. Grove City, now 9-1 overall, only surrendered three games in singles play.
The Lady Wolverines next travel to William Smith College in New York for the ITA
Regionals, Friday and Saturday, September 24-25. Alyssa Bradford (Akron, OH/Cutahoga
Valley Christian) is ranked first in the 64-player singles field. Wendy Carlson
(Hanover, PA/Southwestern) ranks seventh. The doubles team of Bradford and Vicki
Hull (Somis, CA/La Reina) is seeded 16th in the 32-team field.
