Bradford and Carlson Fall In ITA Semis GENEVA, NY, September 26, 1999--Grove City College's bid to place its top two players in the Women's ITA Northeast Region Singles Championship Finals Match ended Sunday when Alyssa Bradford (Akron, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) and Wendy Carlson (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) dropped their respective semi-final matches at William Smith College in Geneva, NY. Bradford lost to Melanie Lowe of RIT, 3-6, 7-6, 5-7, while Carlson fell to Kristin Janese of SUNY-Cortland, 3-6, 2-6. Bradford and Carlson entered the tournament ranked first and seventh, respectively, in the 64-player field. |
