Rabenold takes 13th at NCAA Championships

CANTON, N.Y. -- Grove City College junior distance standout Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) earned 13th place Thursday night in the 10,000 meters at the 2015 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Rabenold recorded a time of 36 minutes, 57.48 seconds to earn 13th place. She entered the Championships as the No. 18 seed in the 22-runner field.

Cornell College sophomore Abreh Masterson won the event with a time of 35:33.67.

Rabenold also qualified for the NCAA Championships last year and placed 15th in the 3000 steeplechase. Last fall, Rabenold earned All-America honors in cross country by placing 28th at the NCAA Championships.

During the 2014-15 academic year, Rabenold earned Presidents' Athletic Conference Most Valuable Performer honors in cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. Earlier this month, Rabenold received Grove City's Sportswoman of the Year award.
