Grove City competes at Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's track and field team competed at the Slippery Rock University Invitational Saturday at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

Junior Julia Seward (Elizabethton, Tenn./Science Hill) recorded Grove City's lone victory Saturday as she won the 10,000. Seward recorded a victorious time of 37 minutes, 22.78 seconds.

Senior Mary Majchrowicz (Sunnyvale, Calif./The King's Academy) placed sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:00.88 while freshman Kate Balmer (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) finished sixth in the 100 (12.64). Freshman Emily Pierce (Lisbon, N.Y./Lisbon Central) claiemd seventh in the 1500 with a time of 5:07.41.

Grove City will compete in the Westminster Invitational Saturday, April 19.
