Wolverines 3rd at PAC Quad

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's track and field team placed third at the Presidents' Athletic Conference North Quad Wednesday evening, hosted by Westminster College at Memorial Field. Grove City accumulated 28 points during the meet. Westminster won with 107.

Two Grove City athletes picked up wins Wednesday. Freshman Emily Pietrucha (Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) won the 800 in 2 minutes, 21.79 seconds while sophomore Brigitte Fryan (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) won the 1500 with a time of 5:16.57.

Sophomore Kate Balmer (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) finished second in the 100-meter dash (12.93) while freshman Morgan Osterhouse (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) earned second in the 1500 (5:17.26).

Two Grove City throwers earned third place in their respective event. Senior Megan Fellows (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) placed third in the discus with a throw of 30.14 meters. Sophomore Chrystal Kuchcinski (North East, Pa./North East) threw the javelin 30.28m to take third.

Grove City returns to action Saturday at the Indiana (Pa.) Invitational.
