Grove City fares well at Baldwin Wallace
BEREA, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's track and field team produced three total victories Friday night at Baldwin Wallace University's Mid-February Meet, held at Harrison Dillard Track. Grove City finished sixth overall out of 15 teams with 56.50 team points.
Junior Emily Rabenold (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) won the 5000 meters in 17 minutes, 53.36 seconds and then captured the 3000 in 10:43.50. Junior Adrienne Scrima (Westtown, N.Y./Minisink Valley) won the 500 meters in 1:25.95.
Sophomore Rachel Watson (Jackson Center, Pa./Lakeview) led Grove City's effort in the field by taking second in the triple jump. Watson marked at 32 feet, 8 1/2 inches. Sophomore Melanie Packard (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry) cleared 9-5 3/4 in the pole vault, good for fourth place.
Sophomore Lydia Keiper (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) placed sixth in the 5000 (19:20.86).
Grove City returns to action February 21 at West Virginia University's Blue-Gold Invitational.
