Snow Nets Four in Loss to W&J SLIPPERY ROCK, PA, March 4, 2000--Erica Snow (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) scored four goals and Sarah Erdos (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) added a pair as Grove City fell to Washington & Jefferson, 14-8, on Saturday night at Slippery Rock University. The loss dropped the Lady Wolverines to 0-3 on the opening day of Allegheny Region play and 0-6 overall. Abby Sakowski (Cleveland Hts., OH/Cleveland Hts.) and Elizabeth Magee (Cincinnati, OH) completed the scoring with a goal each against W&J. The eight goals marked a single-game high for the first-year program. The Lady Wolverines opened the day with a 16-0 loss to host Slippery Rock, then lost to Salem-Teikyo, 10-4. Sakowski accounted for two goals, while Erdos and Brie Anne Thomas (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) netted one apiece. Sakowski leads GCC in scoring through the first six games with six goals. |
