Lady Wolverines drop four at Salem-Teikyo

SALEM, WV, March 26, 2000--The Grove City College women's water polo team (0-11) remains in search of its first varsity victory after suffering four losses over the weekend in Allegheny Region play at Salem-Teikyo University in Salem, WV.

Bucknell and IUP defeated the Lady Wolverines by respective finals of 19-2 and 16-5 on Saturday. Penn State opened Sunday's action by beating Grove City, 11-2. GCC then fell to Gannon by a 13-0 count.

Sarah Erdos (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) recorded four of the Lady Wolverines' nine goals, raising her season total to eight. Abby Sakowski (Cleveland Hts., OH/Cleveland Hts.) tallied a pair to give her a team-high nine goals on the year. Deb Schow (Hanson, MA/Whitman-Hanson), Sarah Grabowski (Pittsburgh, PA/Perry Traditional) and Rebecca Zorch (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) had a goal each.
